How a Search Engine Determines Duplicate Content

With so much good content on the web, it's inevitable that the same information will be displayed many times over. Whether it's a blog post pointing to good statistics, an RSS feed pulled into a complementary site, or blatantly copied material, duplicate content can be an issue. wrong! this is not the process. I can show you a million sites that contain the same content and still ranking high just take the example of the pages that publish english classics. there are so many of them. and they all are non-copyrighted old classics. google doesnt rate them as duplicate content. there is lot more involved than that.

While I agree that there are some published material that falls into a category that Google can't label as duplicate content - Quotes from famous people would be included in that as well - the infographic is purposely left open for interpretation by the reader. We feel we are fairly accurate in our description as Vanessa Fox (formerly of Google) even referenced our image in one of her posts addressing the issue.
